Four-star EDGE Dominic Nichols of Ijamsville (MD) Oakdale High announced his commitment to Michigan Sunday afternoon.

Relationship with coaching staff + their plan for Nichols

“I’m closest with coach Roney edges/olb coach. They see me as playing the strong side defensive end like Mike Moe, or Aidan Hutchinson. I’m also close with coach Minter, and coach Elston. They are always checking in on me and my family even outside of football.”

The Maryland EDGE joins coach Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines’ top 5 class in the 2024 team rankings. He is accompanied by four-star quarterback Jadyn Davis, four-star running back Jordan Marshall, and others.

Nichols ranks as the No. 380 player in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 25 EDGE and the No. 11 player in the state of Maryland.

He currently does not have an On3 NIL Valuation publicly listed. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
