Four-star wide receiver I’Marion Stewart of Chicago (IL) Kenwood Academy announced his commitment to Michigan Friday afternoon.

The 5-foot-10, 180 pounder chose the Wolverines over Oregon, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.

Stewart on why he chose Michigan

“What stood out the most was the consistent communication that I had with the staff. That even was with my family. They made sure we felt I was a priority for their program and would fit into their culture. Besides them making sure I could see myself fitting into their offense, academically having a degree from the Big house is definitely the move.”

“I felt having a degree from Michigan would solidify my future Beyond the sport. Every visit with Coach Bellamy and the staff just felt real, and the OV with the team, some commits and hopefully some soon to be commits was a real authentic vibe.”

Relationship with coaching staff + their plan for Stewart

“I talk to a lot of the staff, I have just had more time to build a good relationship with Coach Bellamy, and Coach Moore. Coach Bellamy and Coach Moore let me know they like my speed, and ability to change gears, my twitch and hands, all around players that’s willing to put in the work and be used in slot, special teams or where I’m needed.”

The Illinois wide receiver joins coach Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines’ top 5 class in the 2024 team rankings. He is accompanied by four-star quarterback Jadyn Davis, four-star running back Jordan Marshall, and others.

Stewart ranks as the No. 313 player in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 54 wide receiver and the No. 7 player in the state of Illinois.

He currently does not have an On3 NIL Valuation publicly listed. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
