Michigan wide receiver Eamonn Dennis has entered the transfer portal. He has spent four season with the Wolverines.

While at Michigan, Dennis made 30 appearances, largely finding a role on special teams. In the 2023 campaign, he saw action in 14 games and made one tackle to secure his third varsity letter. In four years with the program, Dennis recorded three total tackles.

Eamonn Dennis played high school football at St. John’s (MA), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 461 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Along with his decision to enter the transfer portal, Dennis posted a heartfelt message on social media:

“I want to begin by expressing my gratitude to God for guiding me since the age of six when I first stepped onto the field. The opportunity to play in front of millions of people has always been a cherished dream, one that Michigan made happen.

“I want to extend my appreciation to Coach Harbaugh, Coach Moore, Coach Herb, and the entire coaching staff for their unwavering support and mentorship. To my teammates, who have became brothers, thank you for the lifelong memories. Being a Michigan man has taught me lessons that will resonate throughout my lifetime.

“Having completed my studies at UMICH in an accelerated 3.5 years and still holding two years of eligibility, after sincere reflection and heartfelt discussions with my family, I’ve made the decision to explore new opportunities through the transfer portal.

“Thank you to everyone who helped me throughout my journey & forever GO BLUE!”

Sherrone Moore excited for new chapter at Michigan

The 2024 campaign will look a lot different for the Wolverines. This offseason, Michigan saw an event-record 18 players attend the NFL Combine. Additionally, twelve players from Michigan have entered the transfer portal.

Despite the setbacks, new Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore isn’t afraid. In fact, he believes Michigan will bounce back just like the many years prior.

“We’re just going to work,” Moore said during an appearance at the NFL Network. “We’re not going to say much. We’re just going to let the results and everything [speak for themselves] on the field. And just keep going to work.

“We’re a blue-collar type program that we’re not going to open our mouths and talk. We’re just gonna go to work and then show what we can do when it comes time in September.”
