Jim Harbaugh RESPONDS to Suspension from Big Ten as Michigan Football looks ahead to Maryland

With chants of “Free Harbaugh” and “Michigan vs. Everybody” still echoing from Ann Arbor, Paul Finebaum is growing tired of the self-victimization from the Wolverines, specifically from their head coach.

Finebaum spoke about Jim Harbaugh’s answers regarding his suspension during a segment on Get Up on Tuesday. He doesn’t understand why Harbaugh is leaning into the gimmicks and coming across as so disconnected from the matter at hand when it comes to their sign-stealing scandal.

“I mean I am sadly entertained by Jim Harbaugh because he does live, it seems, in an alternate universe. I sometimes wonder whether he’s trying to become a national championship winning coach or the new host of The Daily Show,” said Finebaum. “He just doesn’t make a lot of sense. I mean I’m trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. But I was saddened, really, by what I saw yesterday because he is detached from reality.”

Finebaum was only going to blubber for so long about Harbaugh learning of his suspension via social media. To him, it just makes no difference. The evidence was out there and, in turn, the decision was what it was,

“It just doesn’t matter whether he was informed by a phone call from the commissioner, by his AD or president, or by Twitter. It’s still the same. He is not an innocent party here,” said Finebaum. “He’s being accused of serious things and that’s why the Big Ten acted the way it did.”

Finebaum is clearly no ally of Harbaugh’s, especially as of late when it comes to this storyline. He just wishes that there was some sense of responsibility from him when it comes to this whole ordeal.

Heather Dinich explains Michigan’s potential argument for hearing

If Jim Harbaugh is going to return, the party will need a good argument according to Heather Dinich.

The ESPN insider explained how Michigan will present itself ahead of the game this weekend. Basically, the argument is a Harbaugh suspension would cause “irreparable harm” to the team and the university.

Dinich broke it down on Tuesday’s edition of Get Up.

“Two things: One, Jim Harbaugh and Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel could speak and will be available to and prepare to if necessary on Friday,” Dinich said.  “My understanding is they still don’t know the exact timing of when that would be.”

“So it’s possible they fly with the team on Friday or they fly to Maryland together privately. It’s also important to understand what their argument is and has to be on Friday in order for a judge to say, ‘Okay, you can coach.'”
