Michigan was banged up a bit against Maryland, despite the win, and Sherrone Moore gave the latest on all injured players.

The acting head coach will be in charge this weekend against Ohio State while Jim Harbaugh serves the final game of his suspension. The hope is, of course, to win and get to the Big Ten Championship.

But to get there, Michigan will have to be as close to full health as possible.

(LaDarius Henderson) was working through something, he’ll be back next week,” Moore said. “And Myles (Hinton) got a little knee, (injury), ended up no structural damage or anything, so nothing crazy … I talked about this with the O-line again at the beginning of the year, it’s gonna take 10 O-linemen to win this whole thing and do what we want to do, so everybody’s prepared to try to win and they did a really good job.”

The big injury news was Roman Wilson. The wide receiver exited the game after taking a shot to the head and was ruled out for the rest of the contest versus Maryland.

“Yeah, obviously was out,” Moore said. “Not sure the exact knowledge of what it is but you know, trainers ruled him out at that time, which was a responsible thing I think for us to do as a staff, medical staff.

“So they’re always on top of that stuff, especially when it comes to anything that could be with the head. So he was fine from you know, talking to him on the sideline afterwards. Other guys gotta step up, next man up. That’s how it is in Big Ten football, Big Ten football is physical, you know, things like that happen. So those other guys stepped up and did a good job.”

Some folks might be concerned with Michigan considering the injuries and lack of an explosive win over the Terrapins. Moore wasn’t shocked since they considered Maryland a quality football team.

“That’s a good football team we just faced,” Moore said postgame. “We knew that going in. We knew it was going to be a fight, regardless. We got up and it’s not like our kids let up. Just their kids fought back. They did a really good job. But I thought our guys responded well at the right times. Our defense stepped up in key situations, our offense when we needed it to. It helped us win that game.”
