Many (La.) linebacker Tylen Singleton has been offered by Michigan, he announced Thursday afternoon on Twitter.

Singleton is the No. 40 overall prospect in the 2024 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 5 linebacker and the No. 1 sophomore prospect in the state of Louisiana.

The 6-2, 200-pounder racked up 75 tackles, four tackles for loss, four interceptions including two for scores and a sack as a sophomore this fall. Arkansas, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, LSU, Florida State and USC are among the schools in heavy pursuit.

The in-state Tigers, as well as Arkansas and Texas A&M have hosted him for visits in the past few months. Despite being slightly built early in his high school career, Singleton projects as an elite prospect, according to On3 Director of Scouting Charles Power.

“Tylen Singleton looks like one of the better linebacker prospects at this stage,” Power told The Bengal Tiger. “Singleton has the size of a big safety right now. But he should continue adding mass and eventually play in the box at the next level. His play speed and physicality stood out.” -Charles Power
