Michigan DEFEATS Ohio State in Ann Arbor | Instant REACTION

For the third consecutive year, Michigan has won The Game and taken down Ohio State. It’s another great day for the program as they continue on in their Big Ten and College Football Playoff aspirations. However, there was a scary moment when offensive lineman Zak Zinter went down with an injury.

Surgery was required on Zinter, with the operation being done on Saturday night. It wound up being successful, with Zinter sending out a message later on. More than anything, he thanked Michigan for going out there and taking care of business in the rivalry.

“Surgery went great, Love TEAM 144,” Zinter said in a tweet. “Thanks for having my back boys and finishing strong! I’ll be back better than ever. See you in Indy!

Zinter attached two pictures along with the post, one of which had a special guest. While the offensive lineman had his parents to his right, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh was also there to support his player. A cool moment from Harbaugh amid all of the off-field issues he is currently dealing with.

You can check out the tweet from Zinter here.

Based on the message from Zinter, he will be traveling to the next game Michigan plays in, which will be the Big Ten Championship. The Iowa Hawkeyes will be the opponent, where a win likely sends the Wolverines to the College Football Playoff.

Michigan already has a ton of reasons to play fired up but having someone like Zinter on the sideline would only make the efforts even more spirited.

Mother of Zak Zinter provides update, explains surgery

Before Zinter had the opportunity to post an update on his end, his mother explained the next steps for the offensive lineman. She said Zinter suffered a broken tibia and fibula and was asking for prayers throughout the process.

And then how could she not take a little bit of time to recognize the win over Ohio State?

“Update on Zak…

Headed into surgery now…Please pray for Zak’s surgeons, the surgery, a prefect recovery and for him to understand the injury! Broken tibia & fibula,” Tiffany Zinter said in a Facebook post.

“HUGE THANK YOU to the hundreds of family/friends/fans that have reached out! Please know we’ll read them when we get a moment. We are beyond feeling the LOVE!

“On the bright side…he’s 3-0 against OSU!!

“This is a TEAM and a brotherhood! They FaceTimed him from the locker room while he was in the ER, true brothers!!! Love this TEAM & FA〽️ILY!!!

“FOREVER GO BLUE!!!”
