Ball spent two seasons with the Bulls, recording 11 appearances. In the 2023 campaign, Ball tallied eight receptions for 82 yards. After playing one game in his true freshman season, Ball chose to use his redshirt.

Howell played high school football at Gonzaga (Washington, DC) where he was a three prospect. He was the No. 1,806 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Ball boasts incredible size, standing at 6-foot-6, 235 pounds. He posted a heartfelt message to his social media along with his announcement to enter the transfer portal.

“First and foremost, I would like to thank God for blessing me with the ability to play the sport I love at this level,” Ball wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Thank you to Coach Mo for giving me the opportunity to play for the University at Buffalo and for helping me develop as a player and a man. I would lastly like to thank my teammates for the bonds and memories that we’ve created.”
