Steven Losoya III is officially heading to Mississippi State next year.

The Bulldogs made his transfer official via Twitter on Wednesday night. Losoya played the last three years at Middle Tennessee State.

Losoya was a former three-star recruit and the No. 61 recruit from the state of Tennessee, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He earned Conference USA All-Freshman Team honors as a true freshman in 2020.

He helped Middle Tennessee State to a 7-6 record this year to earn an appearance in the Bahamas Bowl. The Blue Raiders defeated Toledo 31-24 on Dec. 17.

Mississippi State has the No. 23 recruiting class from the Class of 2022 according to the On3 Consensus Team Rankings. Losoya is the seventh transfer to join the Bulldogs’ roster this offseason, including three four-star transfers.

Mississippi State quarterback Jack Abraham is in the transfer portal, according to On3’s Matt Zenitz.

Abraham transferred to Mississippi State this season after three years at Southern Miss. He didn’t play a game after suffering a concussion and facial laceration during a “freak accident” over the summer.

During his three years at Southern Miss, Abraham completed 69.3% of his passes for 7,067 yards and 41 yards. Now, he’s transferring for the second time in his career.

He arrived at Southern Miss as a three-star recruit and the No. 29 recruit in the state of Mississippi, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Will Rogers led a strong Mississippi State offense this season. He finished No. 2 in the SEC in passing yards, throwing for 4,739 yards and 36 touchdowns as the Bulldogs went 7-6 overall and 4-4 in SEC play this year.

As a team, Mississippi State led the SEC in passing offense, averaging 378.3 yards per game in the air this past season.
