Norcross (Ga.) Meadowcreek three-star cornerback Jivan Baly has had NC State near the top of his recruitment for a while. He’s sported NC State apparel at camps. He’s been on campus a lot. Baly held off on committing and weighed his options over the last few months.

Baly is now fully committed to the Wolfpack after his official visit over the weekend. The 6-foot-0, 170-pound cornerback announced his commitment on Sunday night. He was in town for an official visit over thew weekend. Baly felt good about things going into the visit.

“It already felt like a go-to place for me,” Baly said.

Baly felt what he needed to feel on day two of his official visit. Raleigh, the city sold Baly on making his decision.

Baly was impressed with the life off the field in the capital of North Carolina.

“The Life outside of football in Raleigh (won me over),” Baly told On3. “Raleigh North Carolina really opened my eyes. When I was being taken out with the host we’ve been selected with on the official visit, it just clicked.”

Baly had visited NC State four times during his recruitment. NC State felt like home.

“Life in Raleigh, I really enjoy it,” Baly said. “It’s like a second home to me.”

Jivan Baly has a connection with NC State’s culture

The Wolfpack has been one of the early and consistent programs involved in Baly’s recruitment. He took an official visit to Mississippi State. Georgia Tech made a push.

Baly just felt the love from NC State from the beginning. They believed in his ability early in the process. That is something Baly has held onto throughout his recruitment.

That played a major role,” Baly said. “They were the school that showed a lot of love and visited my school plenty of times and all.”

NC State’s slogan, #1Pack1Goal connected with Baly. He’s felt that connection throughout the program. That was another standout for Baly. NC State’s culture felt genuine. Even though he still has a year of high school left, Baly felt that in his recruitment.

“It’s a tough love type of culture and when they say their slogan “1pack1Goal” they stand on that for real,” Baly said.

Baly is the 10th prospect to commit to NC State in the class of 2024. He’s the second player from the state of Georgia to land with the Wolfpack joining Stockbridge running back Duke Scott.
