Houston (Texas) Klein Cain three-star interior offensive lineman Gibson Pyle has committed to Nebraska. He chose the Cornhuskers after taking multiple visits to Lincoln, most recently on the weekend of March 25.

Pyle is the No. 697 overall prospect and No. 48 interior offensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 112 player in Texas.

“I’m so blessed to be in this position and I thank every single coach that I’ve talked to in this process and all the relationships I’ve built,” Pyle wrote. “They truly meant a lot and I will remember this for the rest of my life. I’m so excited about this next step in life and there is only more work to be done! I’m so pumped to be a part of Nebraska football and thank you coach (Donovan) Raiola and coach (Matt) Rhule for giving me this opportunity! GO BIG REDDDD!”

The 6-foot-4.5, 275-pound recruit is planning to return to Lincoln for the spring game on April 22. His last trip to the Cornhuskers for a Junior Day made a very positive impression on him.

“Nebraska definitely checks all of the boxes, and I will be coming back for an OV,” Pyle told Bryan Munson of HuskerOnline on March 26. “I connected with a lot of the offensive linemen that were there on Saturday. When they do their OV, I kind of want to be with them because I have all of their numbers.”

“I really connected with a number of the recruits there this weekend,” he added. “Like Gage Ginther, because he’s from where my dad used to live in Fort Collins. It was cool to talk to him about that. I also talked to Grant Brix, and he was cool. It was really good to talk to all of those guys.”

While at Nebraska, Pyle also got to meet with Rhule.

“My main thing was to meet coach Rhule,” Pyle said. “We got about 30 minutes with him and my family. I really like Nebraska, but I didn’t know how coach Rhule was going to be. He made a great impression with my family.”

Pyle is now the second member of Nebraska’s 2024 recruiting class. Altair (Texas) Rice Consolidated four-star athlete Roger Gradney chose the Cornhuskers on Feb. 20.
