Nebraska lands transfer commitment from Florida OL Micah Mazzccua

Nebraska received some terrific news Wednesday afternoon when former Florida offensive lineman Micah Mazzccua announced his commitment to the Cornhuskers after previously entering the transfer portal.

Mazzccua started in all but one game at the right guard position for the Gators this past season, but now will join up with his brother, Maurice Mazzccua, in Lincoln. The older Maurice was a junior running back for the Huskers this past season after also transferring in. Though, he arrived at Nebraska after spending four whole seasons at West Chester University in Pennsylvania, a Div. II school.

Micah is also no stranger to the transfer portal and used it to move from Baylor to Florida last winter. He visited Nebraska during that window as well but ultimately decided to head for SEC country. However, in March of 2023, Micah Mazzccua considered transferring again before playing a down with UF but ultimately stayed the course and enjoyed a starting role in 2023. Now, he’s officially left and will be a nice boost for the Nebraska front.

Here was his post on Twitter announcing his new destination:
