Dylan Raiola picked a unique way to commit to the University of Nebraska. Instead of going with a graphic or statement, the highly-rated quarterback released a poem to announce that he would be playing for the Cornhuskers.

Bussin’ With The Boys was on the Nebraska campus recently and spoke with Raiola. During the interview, he admitted that someone else wrote the poem he released when he committed.

“I didn’t write it,” Dylan Raiola said laughing. “My dad and mom actually had somebody do it.”

You can see the poem Raiola released as he committed to Nebraska below:

No matter who wrote the poem, Nebraska fans are thrilled to have Raiola in Lincoln. The former five-star recruit was committed to Ohio State at first, before decommitting.

He then committed to Georgia, before opening up his recruitment once again and ending up at Nebraska.

Dylan Raiola gives Cornhuskers coach Matt Rhule a huge piece to build around. He was ranked as the No. 21 overall player in the country and the No. 3 quarterback in the nation, according to the On3 Industry rankings.

Raiola played high school football in Texas, Arizona and Georgia. For his prep career, he passed for nearly 8,500 yards, with 88 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

Now he is working to live up to the hype in Nebraska and once again turn the Cornhuskers into a top program in college football. Nebraska went 5-7 in Year 1 under Rhule.

Dylan Raiola: ‘Nebraska’s a special place’

In the fall, Dylan Raiola will have a chance to provide young fans with the same awe he felt attending Nebraska games as a child. He isn’t allowing the moment to pass him by. The Nebraska freshman recently revealed how it’s been preparing him for his debut campaign.

“Nebraska is a special place. It’s always been like that,” Raiola said. “I never take it for granted how good our fans are. I try to be around my guys as much as possible. Take them out to go eat. Play Madden. It’s been good. I love living here. Not a lot of distractions, a lot of ball and being around your guys.”

Raiola nearly missed out on these memorable times. The highly-touted quarterback was initially committed to Georgia, but ultimately swapped his commitment to Nebraska on Dec. 18.

Raiola boasts strong families ties with the Cornhuskers. Raiola’s father played there in college. Further, his uncle — Donovan Raiola — is currently on Rhule’s staff as the offensive line coach and recently received a contract extension.

It was a massive get for head coach Matt Rhule and Co. Raiola played high school football at Buford (GA), where he was a five-star prospect. He was the No. 21 overall recruit in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
