The Nebraska Cornhuskers lost one of their most dynamic playmakers on Sunday evening. Cornhusker wideout Billy Kemp IV officially declared for the 2024 NFL Draft, he announced on his Twitter page.

“First, I give thanks and glory to god for everything and blessing me with another opportunity. Throughout my journey the unconditional love, support, and prayers from my family and friends have been what got me through this journey. To Coach Rhule, Satt, and McGuire, thank you for believing in me and elevating my game.”

“I would like to extend my gratitude to the coaches, trainers, and staff at the University of Nebraska for making my time special. To my team, I loved every minute of work and at war. I will cherish the friendships and memories in my heart forever. With that being said, I’m officially declaring for the 2024 NFL Draft.”

He battled a number of injuries this season, but hauled in 35 catches for 310 yards and a touchdown.

Before transferring to Nebraska, Kemp made his mark in a big way with the Virginia Cavaliers. He hauled in 192 catches during his time in Charlottesville–ranking him fourth all-time in career catches in UVA football history. Kemp also became the first player to lead the team in punt return yards in four straight seasons.

He played his high school football for Highland Springs (Highland Springs, Virginia). In the 2018 cycle, he was rated as a three-star prospect and the no. 1,796 overall player in America, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.
