Nebraska head coach Scott Frost spent his Tuesday down in the Bayou State, and one of his top priorities was visiting Lake Charles (La.) Lake Charles College Prep four-star running back TreVonte’ Citizen.

Citizen was an LSU verbal before decommitting last week.

Frost, along with assistant coaches Ron Brown and Mickey Joseph, visited the elite running back Tuesday at his high school and extended him an offer.

TreVonte’ Citizen is the No. 67 overall prospect in the country and No. 5 player from Louisiana, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

He is nation’s fourth-best running back behind Reading (Pa.) Governor Mifflin and Penn State five-star commit Nick Singleton, Hartford (Ala.) Geneva County and Alabama five-star commit Emmanuel Henderson, and Madison (Miss.) Germantown and Georgia four-star commit Branson Robinson.

The visit comes just a day after Florida head coach Billy Napier and assistant Jabbar Juluke visited Citizen and offered him a scholarship.

Nebraska also extended offers Tuesday to Shreveport (La.) Green Oaks four-star wide receiver and LSU commit Decoldest Crawford and Lake Charles (La.) Lake Charles College Prep wide receiver Elijah Garrick.

The Huskers have the No. 54 overall class in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking. Reno (Nev.) McQueen three-star running back Ashton Hayes is the only running back commit in the class.
