Three-star wide receiver Jayvan Boggs of Cocoa (FL) High announced his commitment to Ohio State Monday morning.

The 6-foot-1, 190 pounder chose the Buckeyes over Penn State and Florida.

“What really made me commit was the relationships I created with Coach Day, Coach Hartline and coach Jordan. When I went up there it felt like a second home to me honestly! I feel coach Hartline can help me get to where I wanna be at the next level and be a 1st round pick like Jaxon, Chris, and many more. Coach Hartline really made it known that I’m a top priority for them and that he wants me to be their first 2025 wide receiver commit. There’s no better opportunity than to join WRU and to keep the tradition going!”

His relationship with the coaching staff and their plan for him stood out as well.

“I’m closest with coach Hartline, coach Day, and coach Jordan,” Boggs said. “Coach Hartline says I remind him a lot of Jaxon Smith-Njigba and will be used similar to how he was used when he was there!”

The Sunshine State wide receiver joins coach Ryan Day and the Buckeyes’ 2025 class. He is the second commitment in the class, joining four-star quarterback Tavien St. Clair.
