Oklahoma State fans haven’t seen much of Jaylen Warren so far in Saturday’s Big 12 Championship. ABC’s Molly McGrath reported why that is — and it’s not good.

McGrath reported Warren is dealing with a lower leg injury. She said Warren is available, but he’s not fully healthy because of it.

“I’m told he’s not 100 percent,” McGrath said during the first quarter of Oklahoma State’s showdown with Baylor. “He’s been dealing with a lower leg injury for most of this season. But he’s available and healthy enough to play. He’s just not 100 percent.”

The Action Network’s Brett McMurphy later reported it to be an ankle injury. It’s unclear if he’ll return to the game, according to McMurphy.

Warren is Oklahoma State’s leading rusher, averaging 94.5 yards per game. In his last 10 games, that number is 108.8 yards per contest, which shows how important he is to the Cowboys’ offense.

The last time Baylor and Oklahoma State faced off — back on Oct. 2 — Warren had 125 yards and two touchdowns as the Cowboys came away with the 24-14 victory at home. Through one quarter of the Big 12 Championship, Oklahoma State had 26 total rushing yards from Dezmon Jackson, quarterback Spencer Sanders and Dominic Richardson.

Warren is in his first season with the Cowboys after transferring from Utah State. He was named Big 12 Newcomer of the Year this year

Oklahoma State settled for a field goal in the first quarter, but a Spencer Sanders interception set up a touchdown from Baylor to give the Bears a 7-3 lead after one quarter.
