The Oklahoma State vs. Iowa State basketball game will go off with a few hitches after travel issues prevented the Cowboys from arriving in Ames, IA, on time.

According to ESPN’s Jeff Borzello, the game between OSU and ISU has been pushed back one hour from its original intended tip time of 5 p.m. CT and the teams will now tip off at 6 p.m. CT. The schedule change also begets a channel change, as the contest will air on ESPN+ and the Big 12 Network rather than ESPN2, as originally planned.

Here was that report from Borzello, which he tweeted on Saturday afternoon:

“Iowa State vs. Oklahoma State has been pushed back an hour due to travel delays for OK State. The game will now air on ESPN+, not ESPN2, per the school.”

Weather around the country has been brutal this weekend and it is set to heavily impact several of the upcoming NFL playoff games, and clearly, a few college hoops games as well. In fact, Oklahoma State head coach Mike Boynton already tweeted today explaining the difficulties.

“So… this attempt to get to Ames makes our trip to Lubbock look like a piece of cake. Couldn’t get out yesterday because of weather in Des Moines. Left Stillwater this morning at 6am for OKC. Plane in OKC was grounded with maintenance shortly after we arrived,” tweeted Boynton.

There a couple more tweets detailing their struggles getting to Ames. Here were those:

“Was told to go to Norman and that a smaller plane could get us up there… shortly thereafter, told that the plane there is frozen (no de-ice equipment). So still sitting in OKC where there is a functioning plane, but now we are waiting on a crew.

“Game is scheduled for 5pm, but have serious doubts. Especially because after flying to Des Moines, there is an hour long bus ride to Ames. Weather seems to be a non issue at this point, but we shall see.”
