Chandler (Ariz.) High sophomore quarterback Dylan Raiola is one of the most coveted quarterbacks in the country — regardless of class. Raiola already has more than two dozen offers. While he isn’t narrowing anything down, he is starting to sort through his top teams and take unofficial visits.

Early on, he lists AlabamaClemsonGeorgiaUSCOregonOhio StateNotre DameTexas and Nebraska as his top teams. And it’s the Oregon Ducks that will host him and his family this upcoming weekend on an unofficial visit.

It’s a trip, Dylan Raiola is quite excited about as you can see in the video interview below.

“I want to bring my family up there,” Dylan Raiola told On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons. “I want to see how my family likes it because I’m a big family guy. Really, I just want to make sure where I go, my family also is on board and they’re going to support me whatever I do.

“Their facilities are good and are definitely going to be a big thing to see. But just being with the coaches and seeing their offense and what culture they have will also be big for me.”

Dylan Raiola has strong bond with Oregon coaches

Even though the Ducks have a new staff, Dylan Raiola said he’s already built a solid bond with them. That’s especially true with Ducks’ offensive coordinator and quarterback coach Kenny Dillingham, who was recruiting him previously when he was at Florida State.

“I’ve been on the phone with coach (Dan) Lanning a few times and obviously coach Dillingham,” Raiola said. “I talk to him regularly, probably every other week or so. I’m excited to see what Eugene and the program have to offer. Speaking to Coach Lanning, I speak to him as much as the OCs. He came from Georgia, and I know what he brings to the table as a young coach. One of the things I’m looking for is the culture, and I know he’s going to bring it to Oregon.”

“Coach Lanning is a high-energy young coach. So, you know he’s going to bring energy every single day. His defense when he was at Georgia played with a lot of fire. I look forward to seeing what he brings to Oregon. It’s going to be exciting to watch in the fall.”

Dylan Raiola has already been on Georgia’s campus four times and has seen Alabama, Ohio State and Clemson once each. He plans to see as many of the nine as he can this spring. But up first is the visit to Eugene this weekend.

Dylan Raiola went more in-depth on his other top schools last week, including quotes about each of the schools in his top nine. You can read that full story by following this link.
