3-star IOL Lipe Moala commits to Oregon

San Juan Capistrano (Calif.) Mater Dei three-star interior offensive lineman Lipe Moala committed to Oregon on Friday night. He is now the 21st commitment in the Ducks’ 2023 recruiting class.

Moala is the No. 757 overall prospect and No. 74 interior offensive lineman in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 57 player in California.

The California native took an unofficial visit to Eugene on Oct. 1. He is the second interior offensive lineman committed to head coach Dan Lanning and his staff alongside Palm Desert (Calif.) three-star Bryce Boulton.

Oregon’s class is currently is No. 11 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 1 in the Pac-12. The group is led by Detroit Martin Luther King five-star quarterback Dante Moore, the No. 7 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus.

The Ducks’ group is made up of two five-stars, nine four-stars and nine three-stars. Moala is now Oregon’s sixth commitment from California, joining a group that includes Palo Alto (Calif.) Menlo-Atherton five-star wide receiver Jurrion Dickey.

Moala is the Ducks’ third commitment in the last week. The others are Boulton and Bakersfield (Calif.) Liberty kicker Grant Meadors.
