Detroit Martin Luther King five-star quarterback Dante Moore has been committed to Oregon since July 8. Recently, discussions about whether Michigan State could successfully flip him have heated up.

However, Moore put those rumors to rest on Saturday. When asked about the status of his pledge to the Ducks, he told The D Zone, “Sco Ducks. I’m locked in with Oregon.”

Moore is the No. 7 overall prospect and No. 3 quarterback in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 1 player in Michigan.

The 6-foot-2, 210 pound prospect is currently the top prospect in Oregon’s 2023 recruiting class. It ranks No. 11 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 1 in the Pac-12.

Moore has an On3 NIL Valuation of $732K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Dante Moore On3 Scouting Summary

The following is the On3 Scouting Summary for Dante Moore:

“Pocket passer who is one of the more accurate and efficient quarterbacks in the 2023 cycle. Skilled as a touch passer with the ability to layer throws and deliver with accuracy and nuance. Has a quick, natural release that aids in the short passing and RPO game. Shows a good arm both on video and in camp settings. Capable of hitting on deep shots off of play action.

“Put together a highly efficient and productive junior season in leading Martin Luther King to a state title while completing 73 percent of his passes for over 3,000 yards and 40 touchdowns against three interceptions. Does not appear to be quite the athlete or run threat as some of the other top quarterbacks in the cycle at this time. Will need to continue improving his movement skills and foot quickness.”
