One of the nation’s top tight end prospects was in Eugene for Oregon’s spring game this weekend.

It was the second time on campus for Goodland (Kan.) four-star tight end Linkon Cure, who wanted to get back to see the Ducks before his June 14 official visit.

He recapped his visit with On3’s Steve Wiltfong.

“The environment was amazing and I loved every bit of my time there,” Cure said. “You can really feel the culture of the program! Everything excites me about the Ducks! I absolutely love it!”

Going forward, Cure will visit Texas A&M the first weekend of May. Other contenders include Kansas and Kansas State among others. He was on the Jayhawks campus earlier this spring. He will take an official visit to KSU June 21. The Wildcats currently lead in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), which would give Cure the opportunity to play close to home.

Linkon Cure Recruit Profile

On3’s Scouting and Rankings team writes this about Cure as a prospect:

“Gifted jumbo athlete who looks like one of the top tight end prospects early on in the 2025 cycle. Has unverified size. Registers as a plus athlete with a sterling track profile. State champion in the 300 meters as a sophomore along with strong marks in the high jump and 100 meter hurdles. Lives in a remote area of northwest Kansas and plays for a small school. Size and athleticism jump off the film. Fluid, natural mover. Gets up to full speed quickly. Lines up both split out and in-line on offense. Shows a large catch radius. Contorts his body to make high-level grabs. Comes down with contested catches in traffic. Has the ability to take it to the house after the catch. Also plays defense. Looks like a man amongst boys. How he measures and looks in a neutral setting will add much more clarity to his evaluation given the lower level of competition he faces.”

Cure is the nation’s No. 34 overall prospect, No. 2 tight end and No. 2 recruit from Kansas in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
