Former Oregon star quarterback Anthony Brown was not selected in the 2022 NFL Draft. However, he quickly made his undrafted free agency decision on Saturday evening–he decided to sign with the Baltimore Ravens. The standout signal-caller ran a 4.71 40-yard dash time at the Ducks’ Pro Day about a month ago and he was a dynamic runner with the football in his hands.

During the 2021-2022 season, Brown threw for 2,989 passing yards, while tossing in 18 touchdowns and just seven interceptions. As a runner, he had 151 rushing attempts for 658 yards, while touching end zone paint nine times on the ground. Brown’s 658 rushing yards were the sixth-most by an Oregon quarterback in a season. He earned the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback of the Week honors following the Week 2 victory over Ohio State.

His senior season, he led the Pac-12 Conference with 3,851 yards of total offense. Brown guided the Ducks to a 10-win season and a Pac-12 Championship game appearance. In the Ducks’ massive upset victory over the Ohio State Buckeyes in Columbus, Brown accounted for more than 300 yards of total offense and two touchdowns.

Brown spent his first few seasons of college football with the Boston College Eagles. In 2018, he became just the fifth quarterback in school history to throw for twenty touchdowns in a season. Not only that, he was also the first signal-caller in the program to accomplish such a feat since 2007.

Anthony Brown was a very accomplished high school quarterback

He accomplished very good things in his high school career, amassing a 21-2 overall record at St. John Vianney. Brown tossed 58 career touchdown passes and piled up 4,496 passing yards. He was also named a semifinalist for the prestigious Elite 11 camp for the nation’s top quarterbacks. His senior year, Brown threw for 33 touchdowns, while tossing only five interceptions.
