Oregon offensive lineman T.J. Bass has announced he’ll return to the Ducks for the 2022 college football season, he announced on Twitter on Friday night.

He wrote on his Twitter, “One last ride,” and in the graphic he says he’s ready to “Run It Back”. The news that the 6-foot-5, 330 pound offensive lineman is returning is big news for newly anointed Oregon head coach Dan Lanning.

With the return of Bass, Oregon’s offensive line in 2022 is expected to be one of the best units in the Pac-12. Four of the Ducks’ five starters from the 2021 Alamo Bowl will be back in Eugene for the 2022 campaign.

Another one of Oregon’s offensive linemen announced he was coming back, today, too. Ryan Walk announced he’ll be back for 2022 on his Twitter page as well. He was hurt at the end of the season, but started for most of the year.

Bass is one of several Oregon players who have announced they will return to Eugene in 2022, including: Ryan Walk, Popo Aumavae, Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu, Brandon Dorlus, Seven McGee, Alex Forsyth, and Bennett Williams.

The Ducks are still waiting on announcements from their star running backs, C.J. Verdell, Travis Dye, and a few others. In returning to Oregon, Bass will be joining former Auburn quarterback Bo Nix, who transferred to Oregon via the portal. The Bo Nix experience will be in Eugene next season, and it’ll be exciting to see how he plays for the Ducks.

Nix had some incredible moments in 2021 for Auburn, but he also had some really bad ones, too. That being said, the much-maligned signal-caller made a lot of improvements during the 2021 season.

It’s going to be fascinating to watch how he plays for Oregon, because when he’s at his very best, he can provide some amazing highlight-reel moments.

Oregon loses the Alamo Bowl 47-32

Oregon is coming fresh off a 47-32 Alamo Bowl loss to the Oklahoma Sooners. The outcome of the game was never really in doubt.

The Ducks could find no answer for Oklahoma running back Kennedy Brooks, who had 14 carries for 142 yards and three touchdowns. Oregon did score 29 points in the second half to make things interesting, but they couldn’t stop Oklahoma’s offense, either.
