Nearly a week into the month of July, few programs have quietly put together a stronger football recruiting class than Dan Lanning and Oregon.

The Ducks currently sit at No. 10 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings, but have been somewhat muted in the past two months. Maybe it’s because they’ve yet to land a truly elite 2024 prospect, but they’ve already notched one of the deepest classes this cycle, with 10 four-stars already in the fold.

Good news is coming for the folks in Eugene in the coming weeks as well. Four priority targets are set to come off the board in the next 11 days, and Oregon is considered the outright leader or in the top two for all of them. They also remain strongly in contention for five-star offensive tackle Brandon Baker, elite California running back Nathaniel Frazier, lightning-fast receiver Gatlin Bair, four-star wideout Jeremiah McClellan and borderline five-star defensive lineman Aydin Breland, among others.

In the short term though, keep an eye on this trio as the Ducks look to make a massive July move:

4-star LB Dylan Williams

School: Long Beach (Calif.) Poly
On3 Industry RankingNo. 158
On3 RPM: USC 62.6%, Oregon 34.4%
The Skinny: Williams was at one time committed to the Trojans, but after he decommitted they were largely out of the picture. Recently though, USC has made a strong push including working to get him on campus for an official visit in July. However, a decision is expected on July 7 and the Ducks are lurking.

4-star LB Kamar Mothudi

School: Los Angeles (Calif.) Campbell Hall School
On3 Industry RankingNo. 253
On3 RPM: Oregon 95.6%, Utah 1.8%, Washington 1.1%
The Skinny: Utah, Washington and Michigan State all got Mothudi on campus for official visits in June, but it was the Ducks who got the final chance to make an impression. Dan Lanning and Co. have been trending since the spring and are looking to close on a top target when he commits July 10.

4-star OT Preston Taumau

School: Los Angeles (Calif.) Campbell Hall School
On3 Industry RankingNo. 253
On3 RPM: Oregon 95.6%, Utah 1.8%, Washington 1.1%
The Skinny: Taumua officially visited Auburn, Nebraska, and Arizona in the month of June, but again, the Ducks got the last visit. ScoopDuck.com’s Justin Hopkins placed a prediction heading into the weekend, and Oregon has the buzz around it with a commitment expected July 16.
