After completing one of the nation’s best recruiting classes for the 2024 cycle, Dan Lanning & Co. are off to a hot start at Oregon in the 2025 class.

With the Ducks looking to build on an already star-studded group, Oregon recruiting insider Justin Hopkins logged an expert prediction with a 70% confidence level for Lee’s Summit (Mo.) North four-star wide receiver Isaiah Mozee to commit to Oregon.

Oklahoma still leads in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, but the Ducks are making up ground following Hopkins’ prediction.

Mozee is the nation’s No. 107 overall prospect and No. 13 wide receiver in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the top recruit in Missouri — Lanning’s home state.

Throughout Mozee’s recruitment, Lanning has made him a priority. Mozee told ScoopDuck last month that he speaks with Nebraska, Tennessee, Missouri and Oregon the most.

“Coach Lanning is someone I have known for a while now,” Mozee told ScoopDuck. “He used to work with my dad when coach Lanning was working at a high school coaching job.”

Mozee also complimented Will Stein and the Ducks’ offense.

“Oregon pops ‘cause of what they do on offense,” he said. “It is really impressive. That, and how they treat people.”

More on Oregon recruiting

Oregon’s 2025 recruiting class currently ranks No. 6 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings with five commitments. The group is headlined by a trio of top-70 prospects: Tampa Bay Tech four-star wide receiver Dallas Wilson, San Diego Lincoln four-star quarterback Akili Smith Jr. and Pflugerville (Texas) Weiss four-star wide receiver Adrian Wilson.

Smith Jr. is the son of former Ducks star and NFL top-5 pick Akili Smith. Akili Jr. told On3 that his commitment to Oregon ‘means the world’ to him.

“It means the world to me to be committed to Oregon,” he told On3. “It has always been my dream to be a Duck. “Since I have been able to walk, my dad has had me in Oregon stuff, I have watched a lot of Oregon games and this is a dream coming true. I get to carry on my dad’s legacy, start my own legacy and at the same time play for a great program like Oregon and push for my dreams to reach the NFL.”

Concord (Calif.) De La Salle four-star defensive lineman Matthew Johnson is the newest addition to the class, committing to the Ducks last Friday.
