Newport Beach (Calif.) Newport Harbor four-star wide receiver Jordan Anderson has committed to Oregon State.

The 6-foot, 160-pounder was committed to Oregon for almost an entire year, but backed off his pledge on Dec. 8. He then took a pair of official visits and has now chosen the Beavers over San Diego State.

Anderson is the No. 286 overall prospect and No. 47 wideout in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 26 player in California.

Anderson has an On3 NIL Valuation of $75K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Oregon State lands centerpiece commit in 2024 cycle

Landing Anderson is a major win for head coach Trent Bray and the new staff in Corvallis. The blue-chip wideout now headlines OSU’s class, which signed just seven players during the Early Signing Period.

Other top commits for the Beavers include Andover (N.H.) Proctor Academy three-star cornerback Exodus Ayers, Miramar (Fla.) three-star EDGE Shamar Meikle, La Marque (Texas) three-star running back Salahadin Allah and Sumner (Wash.) three-star interior offensive lineman Dylan Sikorski.

The class — which now features 14 total commits — ranks No. 83 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
