Dundalk (Md.) four-star offensive tackle Chimdy Onoh is fresh off a whirlwind of official visits to close out his recruitment. The top uncommitted offensive lineman in the country visited Ole Miss this past weekend and also tripped to Michigan State, Penn State and Rutgers over the past six weeks after decommitting from Old Dominion.

Onoh is expected to sign with his school of choice on Wednesday, and one team has taken a commanding lead in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) with 24 hours to go. Penn State now holds a 91.3 percent chance of securing his commitment, per the RPM, as the Nittany Lions look to add one of the nation’s fastest-rising prospects to their 2023 class.

The 6-foot-5, 270-pounder has exploded from a relative unknown on the national recruiting scene a few months ago into a four-star prospect and coveted offensive lineman.

Onoh is the No. 207 overall prospect and No. 14 offensive tackle in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 4 player in Maryland.

He has an On3 NIL Valuation of $9K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Chimdy Onoh On3 Scouting Summary

The following is the On3 Scouting Summary for Chimdy Onoh:

“Twitched up offensive tackle prospect who imposes his will on defenders for all four quarters. Shows excellent foot speed and balance. Terrific burst off the line of scrimmage for his stature. Measures in at nearly 6-foot-5, 270 pounds with 9.5-inch hands. Incredible raw power at the point of attack and possesses violent hands. Won the Maryland 4A state championship in shot put and discus throwing 61-foot-4 in the shot put and 175-foot-6 in the discus.

“Appears to lack ideal arm length for the next level but makes up for it with his hand placement and ability to stay engaged. High ceiling prospect who has the chance to develop into a premier tackle if he is able to maintain his athleticism as he adds mass throughout his frame. Impressive basketball player for his high school team who can get up and throw it down with ease.”
