In what’s been a successful spring for Penn State on the recruiting trail, the Nittany Lions had another win Tuesday afternoon landing a commitment from Waukesha (Wis.) Catholic Memorial four-star interior offensive lineman Donovan Harbour.

Harbour’s pledge elevated the Nittany Lions’ 2024 recruiting class to No. 10 in the 2024 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Penn State’s group, which also ranks No. 3 in the Big Ten, rose two spots from No. 12.

The 6-foot-4, 330-pounder is the No. 178 overall prospect and No. 10 interior offensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 2 player in Wisconsin.

He picked the Nittany Lions over Florida, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, Tennessee and Wisconsin.

Penn State extended an offer to Harbour last April and was in attendance for the Nittany Lions’ spring game on April 15.

“It was amazing,” Harbour told On3 following the visit. “I loved the atmosphere. I loved how they were having fun while competing with each other and also making each other better.

Donovan Harbour currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $74K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

April a strong month for Penn State on the trail

April’s been the best month so far for Penn State as James Franklin and co. continue to build their 2024 class.

Harbour’s commitment was the fifth of the month as he joined four-star cornerback Jon Mitchell, four-star athlete Quinton Martin, three-star cornerback Antoine Belgrave-Shorter and three-star athlete Caleb Brewer.

Harbour is also Penn State’s second four-star offensive line commitment. Cooper Cousins is the No. 216 prospect in the 2024 class and was the Nittany Lions first commitment for this class announcing his pledge last January.

Aside from Cousins’ commitment and what the Nittany Lions have done in April, 2023 as a whole has been a positive for Penn State.

Penn State’s other commitments in this class have all come since January. That group includes three-star linebacker Anthony Speca, three-star cornerback Kenny Woseley, three-star linebacker Kari Jackson and three-star tight end Luke Reynolds.
