3-star safety Winston Berglund commits to Purdue
Carmel (Ind.) three-star safety Winston Berglund has committed to Purdue, becoming the second verbal in the 2023 class for the Boilermakers.
He announced the decision Friday on social media.
Berglund is the No. 904 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
The 2022 recruiting class for Purdue ranked 45th in the 2022 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking. The group was led by Fort Branch (Ind.) Gibson Southern four-star quarterback Brady Allen, Indianapolis Brebeuf Jesuit four-star defensive lineman Joe Strickland and Bryan (Texas) four-star defensive lineman Nic Caraway. Allen was the No. 7 quarterback in the 2022 On3 Consensus. He was also the No. 3 player from the state of Indiana.
