Purdue cornerback Braxton Myers has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned. This will be the second time going through the process for Myers, originally beginning his college football career at Ole Miss.

Myers has a bit of an unusual situation, not entering the portal at a normal time compared to other college football players. He signed his Letter of Intent with Ole Miss in December but before even stepping on the field for spring practice, Myers decided to leave Oxford. Purdue ultimately won out his first portal recruitment.

During his one season in West Lafayette, Myers was not able to make too big of an impact. He did not play in a game and was a redshirt candidate. Whoever winds up landing the defensive back will have at least three years of him, potentially even four.

Myers played high school football at Copell (TX) High School, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 233 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
