Gicarri Harris, a four-star shooting guard in the class of 2024, has committed to Purdue.

The 6-foot-4 senior out of Grayson (Ga.) High ultimately chose the Boilermakers over Georgia Tech. He also received offers from LSU, Miami, Stanford, Virginia Tech, and others.

“It’s been a tough decision with all the amazing offers, programs and support that I have received on this journey,” Harris said to On3. “I am excited to announce that I have committed to Purdue!”

According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Harris is the No. 77 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle. He’s also the No. 19 shooting guard prospect and the No. 8 player in the state of Georgia. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Harris Scouting Report

“It is the fundamentals that pop with Gicarri Harris. His baseline of skill is high. At his size, he is able to handle, shoot, and pass in multiple situations. A comfortable secondary ball handler, Harris can initiate offense and get his team into sets. He is a reliable three-point shooter with range and confidence. He can also make reads in the teeth of the defense. Harris is a good team defender, able to guard the ball or the passing lanes and he does not mind playing a physical brand. While he will not wow you with any one aspect of his game, there is a lot he can do to help a team win.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw
