Chestnut Hill (Mass.) Brimmer & May School three-star small forward Bryce Dortch tells On3 he’s committed to Rutgers. The 6-foot-8 class of 2024 prospect chose the Scarlet Knights over Virginia Tech and Temple.

Dortch discussed his commitment with On3.

“I chose Rutgers because it was the right fit,” Dortch said. “Me and my family have a great relationship with the coaching staff and the love from the fans was crazy. They are a program who are great at developing their players and care about winning.”

In his own words, what type of player is Rutgers getting in Dortch?

“I say the program is getting versatile player who can defend and just try to play as hard as they can. My game like a big guard for my height. I like to handle the ball and try to facilitate while also looking for my own shot when I can.”

Dortch has a message for Scarlet Knight fans.

“The love y’all gave me and my family was amazing. I can’t wait to get to know y’all better and attempt to win a championship together.”

Dortch ranks as the No. 151 overall prospect and No. 42 small forward in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
