Rutgers has extended an offer to the top quarterback in the 2024 cycle, four-star signal caller Jadyn Davis out of Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day School.

Davis is the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2024 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

On3 does not rank high school sophomores during their fall seasons but does hand out grades. Davis is one of 18 players who received a grade of 91 out of 100.

Davis spent his first two high school seasons at Catawba Ridge (S.C.) High but elected to transfer to Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day School over winter break.

He had previously attended the school in middle school.

“It was a really hard decision for me because I love Catawba, and they’ve done so much for me,” Jadyn Davis told Lettermen Row. “I have nothing but love for my teammates. Those are my guys, they’re some of my best friends and always will be. And I’ve got nothing but love and respect for [Catawba Ridge head coach Zac] Lendyak. He really helped me grow over the past couple of years. But, in the end, this was the right decision for me.”

The Scarlet Knights do not have a quarterback commit in its 2022 recruiting class, which ranks No. 40 in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking.
