Spencer Rattler won’t have to play without his All-SEC candidate at wide receiver when South Carolina faces Texas A&M on Saturday.

Xavier Legette, who suffered an injury against Missouri last week, is set to play against the Aggies, sources tell On3.

Legette, who has been classified as questionable for the game throughout the week, ranks ninth nationally and third in the SEC with an average of 105.1 receiving yards per game. Through seven games, Legette has 38 catches for 736 yards and three touchdowns.

Legette, who has emerged as a potential early-round NFL draft pick, posted at least 110 receiving yards in four of the Gamecocks’ first six games prior to getting hurt against Missouri.

“The receiver, Legette, probably a first round guy,” Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher said this week. “Averaging almost 20 yards a catch, 38 catches. He’s 6-foot-3, 6-foot-4, 225, 228 pounds, can run, can play physical, can run routes.”

Texas A&M, which is 4-3, enters the game against South Carolina as a 17-point favorite over the Gamecocks. South Carolina, which is 2-5, has dropped three straight games since a 37-30 win over Mississippi State Sept. 23.

“New week. Excited for the opportunity to go to College Station,” South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer said this week. “One of the great venues in all of college football. Looking forward to the trip out there. Got a big challenge. Coach Fisher, a ton of respect for him and his staff. This is an extremely well-coached team and an extremely talented team. They are dangerous in all three phases.”
