The Stanford Cardinal women’s basketball team has enjoyed another impressive year thanks to the play of star forward Cameron Brink.

This season has been a historic year for Brink, who has the numbers to prove it. But not only that, those stats have put her in rarefied air as she joins Brittany Griner and Courtney Paris as the only players with a total of 1800 points, 1200 rebounds, 200 assists, and 400 blocks for their career in the past 25 seasons.

Stanford women’s basketball gave their star player a shoutout via social media, which can be seen in the image below. It also shows her current career totals.

The year is not over for Brink, and the Cardinal is currently heading to the second round of the Women’s March Madness tournament. In the first round, the No. 2 seeded Cardinal shut down the No. 15 seed Norfolk State 79-50. Brink was one of four Stafford players who finished the game with 10 plus points in the scoring column, matching Kiki Iriafen what 17 points; second most on the night behind guard Elena Bosgana.

Where Brink was unmatched was on the boards. The six-foot-four senior from Beaverton, OR, led all players in the game in rebounds, snagging a total of 15. In fact, her defensive rebound total of 10 was better than the next-best rebounding total by either program on the night.

Brink has consistently improved season after season since her freshman year back in 2020-21. In her first season at Stanford, she played in 32 games, recording twenty starts and an average of 18.3 minutes per contest. She would finish off that season averaging 9.9 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.8 blocks per contest. But this season, her senior season, Brink has performed head and shoulders better than any other year. She has career highs in points 17.8, rebounds 12.1, assists 2.9, and blocks 3.6, all while averaging 25.6 minutes per game this year and playing in every game this season.

As mentioned above, Brink has the opportunity to expand even more on her historic career and season. Up next for Stanford and the women’s tournament is a showdown on Sunday night against the No. 7 seed Iowa State Cyclones. Currently, the Cardinal is favored by -12.5 in the contest. Should Vegas’ prediction come true, that will only lead to more opportunities for Brink to continue on her historic run and possibly end this year as NCAA women’s champions with her Stanford teammates.
