Three-star quarterback Hauss Hejny of Fort Worth (TX) Aledo High announced his commitment to TCU Thursday afternoon.

The 5-foot-11, 185 pounder chose the Horned Frogs over Baylor and Oklahoma State.

Hauss on why he chose TCU

“First off, I’ve grown up a Frog fan my whole life.  Both my parents were athletes there, my dad played football and my mom ran track/played basketball.  It’s always been my dream school since I could remember, and when I was blessed enough to get the opportunity to possibly go there I had to take a hard look at it.  I’ve known Kendal Briles since he was at Arkansas and I went up there two summers ago and I spent a whole day with him and his assistant one on one along with my dad.  We’ve got a lot in common; I mean he’s from Stephenville, TX not too far from where I’m from, Aledo.  We’ve got a very similar demeanor and personality and I just want to be around him for the next 4 years.  I believe that I fit into his offensive structure really well, because he does a lot of movement with the quarterback.  What Coach Dykes has been able to do with a program in one year is absolutely incredible for a below average season the year before, to lead his team to a Natty is really special.  I’ve been told many times that they have the potential to have a Top 5 wide receiver class in the country and that’s a huge part of an offense, is that you have to have guys that can go make plays and score you points.  That’s really attractive!!  Lastly, family is extremely important to me and TCU is about 20 minutes from my house so it’s going to be really awesome to be around my brothers when I have some free time or to catch one of their games.  I want to build my legacy in Funky Town!”

Hejny ranks as the No. 865 player according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 53 quarterback and the No. 125 player in the state of Texas.

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $31K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
