Missouri City (Texas) Hightower four-star running back Jeremy Payne announced that he has committed to the TCU Horned Frogs.

The 5-foot-10, 165-pounder is the No. 272 overall prospect and No. 21 running back in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 50 player in Texas.

Payne’s commitment comes a few days after he took an official visit to Fort Worth. He is the highest-ranked commit in TCU’s class so far.

Payne is the eighth commitment in TCU’s 2024 class. He is their fourth four-star pledge joining Fort Worth (Texas) Aledo quarterback Hauss Hejny, Decatur (Texas) running back Nathaniel Palmer and Tyler (Texas) Tyler Legacy Red Raiders EDGE Travis Jackson.

Palmer announced his commitment to TCU two days before Payne.

TCU also holds pledges from Lancaster (Texas) offensive tackle Tobias Steppes, The Woodlands (Texas) offensive tackle Ryan Hughes, Fort Worth (Texas) North Crowley quarterback Julian Knox and The Woodlands (Texas) College Park Cavaliers tight end Cole Snodgrass.

With the commitment from Payne, TCU’s 2024 recruiting class ranks as the No. 39 class in the country and No. 3 in the Big 12.

Jeremy Payne currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $52K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
