It was a crazy end to the first half in a second round Big 12 Tournament game between TCU and Oklahoma. The Horned Frogs were inbounding the ball with 3.3 seconds left before halftime and launched a full-court pass that was intercepted.

However, as the Sooners made their way down the court and passed the ball, it fell right into the hands of Micah Peavy, who was standing at the opposite 3-point line. He heaved up a shot at the buzzer that miraculously banked in off the backboard. You can view the moment below.

The shot gave the Horned Frogs a 45-31 lead heading into the locker room. Peavy currently had eight points in the game to go along with three rebounds, three assists and three steals in the first half.

TCU got off to a hot start to open up a 21-9 lead on Oklahoma to begin the game. The Horned Frogs led by as many as 14 points in the opening half and didn’t let up to open the second. They would go on to increase their advantage as high as 19 points in the second half and looked in control most of the way.

Oklahoma would go on to make a late run and cut the lead down to single digits in the final minute. However, TCU hung on for the 77-70 victory.

Emanuel Miller finished with a team-high 26 points to go with eight rebounds in the win. TCU used a solid defensive effort to come away with the win despite allowing OU to claw its way back a bit late. The Horned Frogs forced 18 turnovers on 11 steals.

TCU likely earned an at-large bid in the NCAA Tournament with the win, according to ESPN bracketology expert Joe Lunardi. Things are a little more tricky for the Sooners, but they were projected as a nine-seed prior to the loss so will likely be safe.

The Horned Frogs now advance to the quarterfinals of the Big 12 Tournament to face top-seeded Houston. Tip off for that contest is set for 2 p.m. CT on Thursday and will be televised on ESPN.

“We’ve been like this all year long,” Horned Frogs coach Jamie Dixon said pregame. “We’ve talked about NCAA Tournament the entire season. So yeah, everyone’s aware of it. Your resume is built all year long, every game is just as important as the last in the Big 12.”
