Four-star wide receiver Drelon Miller of Silsbee (TX) High announced his commitment to Texas A&M Thursday night.

The 6-foot-2, 195 pounder chose the Aggies over USC.

Miller on why he chose Texas A&M

“Honestly the coaching staff and it’s home,” Miller said. “They showed how much they want me and I feel like I can bring a change to their team and help us get a national championship.”

Relationship with coaching staff + their plan for him

“They plan on using me like a Deebo Samuel which they are doing with Annis right now. So it feels good to know that they have already done it but coach Jimbo, coach Craig and coach BGA I have a real bond with.”

What it means to stay home

“It means a lot to know they support my decision with whatever school I picked but it’s a blessing. Hopefully we get A&M back to where it was.”

The Lone Star State wide receiver joins coach Jimbo Fisher and the Aggies’ top 15 class in the 2024 team rankings. He is accompanied by four-star defensive lineman Dealyn Evans, four-star safety Jordan Pride, and others.

Miller ranks as the No. 78 player in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 14 wide receiver and the No. 16 player in the state of Texas.

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $109K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Drelon Miller Personal Life (via On3)

“After racking up 15 touchdowns as a sophomore, Dre’lon Miller had an unforgettable junior season. He recorded 1,399 yards of total offense, 21 touchdown catches, 361 yards rushing and also made an impact on special teams for Silsbee (Texas) High School. “Dre’lon is just a really good kid,” Silsbee coach Randy Smith told 12 News. “I mean great kid. He’s prepared himself for this moment. We know he’s a special player. Obviously, we try to find ways to get him the ball, and he takes over games for us. He’s that leader for us. But I don’t think we’ve seen his ceiling. I think he’s one of those kids that the sky’s the limit for what he can do. I think with the attention he’s getting, he’s as good as any player in the country.”
