After the latest rankings updates from other recruiting services, Corona (Calif.) Centennial quarterback Husan Longstreet is now a five-star prospect in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Now the No. 32 overall prospect, Longstreet, a Texas A&M commit, is one of five signal-callers with five-star status. He also remains the No. 2 prospect in California. The 6-foot-1, 200-pounder pledged to the Aggies on April 14, choosing the SEC program over Auburn, Oregon and Ole Miss among others.

“The relationship he built with Coach Klein and Coach Elko was unbelievable,” Longstreet’s father, Kevin, told On3’s Steve Witfong. “He said they love ball and are passionate about football and that drove him to A&M. It was also a larger city and larger town and he felt that was more him.”

Longstreet returned to College Station at the end of April for the A&M spring game. The coaching staff continues to highlight his reasoning for pledging to the Lone Star State program.

“It’s the coaching staff,” he told On3. “Coach Klein and Coach Elko they really see the future and what they can do. I went up to their practice (in March) and just their intensity. They can really take the program and do something that hasn’t been done in history and I wanted to be part of that.”

Longstreet becomes the first five-star pledged to Texas A&M this cycle and headlines the Aggies recruiting class, which ranks No. 11 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings, as of May 22. According to the On3 Industry Ranking, A&M last signed a five-star in the 2023 cycle, when Katy (Texas) Paetow Five-Star Plus+ defensive lineman DJ Hicks inked with the Aggies.

Husan Longstreet Scouting Summary

On3’s Scouting and Rankings team writes this of Longstreet as a prospect:

“New Texas A&M commit Husan Longstreet could have the strongest arm in the cycle. The 6-foot-1, 195-pounder from Corona (Calif.) Centennial has elite arm talent with the ability to generate palpable velocity on his throws. Longstreet is a twitchy passer and mover and excels in the RPO game and as a downfield passer. He sports the biggest hands of any top 2025 quarterback and it’s easy to see, given the force he’s able to generate on his throws.”
