Texas A&M is set to bolster its group in the trenches with a commitment from Utah center Koli Faaiu.

Faaiu has committed to the Aggies, On3’s Pete Nakos reported on Saturday morning.

The 6-foot-3, 324-pound junior played in 11 games for Utah last season, starting in the final eight at center. He was in his third season of action for the Utes last fall.

Faaiu did not see any game action in 2021, his first year with the program. He then saw time in five games in 2022, playing on both the offensive line and on special teams.

His presence will give the Aggies another capable hand at center, one of the offensive line’s most important positions.

Prior to enrolling at Utah, Koli Faaiu was ranked as a three-star prospect and the No. 953 overall player in the 2021 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.

He also checked in as the No. 50 interior offensive lineman in his class and the No. 13 overall player in the state of Washington, hailing from Bothell (WA) North Creek.

Texas A&M loses O-lineman to transfer portal

Texas A&M offensive lineman Derrick Graham has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 has learned. He will have at least one year of eligibility remaining.

Graham transferred to Texas A&M this winter after spending the first three years of his career at Troy. He featured in all 14 games for Troy during the 2023 season after bouncing between starting and playing as a sixth offensive linemen to start his career.

Now after spending spring practice with the Aggies, Graham is back on the open market.

Graham played high school football at Lake Minneola (Fla.) High School, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 2475 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
