Texas A&M is fighting back in the Arkansas-Texas A&M contest. Running back Isaiah Spiller knifed his way through the Arkansas defense, and then turned on the afterburners.

The 67-yard touchdown by Spiller run cut the Arkansas lead to 17-10 after the extra point. It was the longest run of the 2021 season for Texas A&M thus far, and the longest of Spiller’s career, according to Texas A&M Athletics Communications.

Spiller has been the superstar the Aggies have needed him to be this season, making big-time plays in clutch situations. He’s one of the best running backs in college football and he’s been proving it all season long. Check out this catch in the Colorado game that won the game for Texas A&M 10-7.

Last Saturday, Spiller surpassed Johnny Manziel and Jovorskie Lane on the Texas A&M rushing yards list. He ranked 16th in total rushing yards in Aggie football history with 2,229 career rushing yards.

In 2020, Spiller ran for over 1,000 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns. His best game came against Florida, where he shredded the Gator defense to the tune of 174 rushing yards on 27 attempts. He also snagged one catch for 18 yards in the 41-38 upset victory over fourth-ranked Florida. The talented tailback was named first team All-SEC after the 2020 season. I

n 2019, Spiller ran for 946 rushing yards and ten rushing touchdowns for Texas A&M. His 2019 season was good enough to land him on the SEC All-Freshman Team.

High school stats

As a senior for Klein Collins, Spiller racked up 1,493 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns. The 6-foot-1 tailback recorded over 3,500 yards from scrimmage and 53 touchdowns in his high school career. The Spring, Texas native was named an Under Armour All-American
