Texas Tech offers 3-star Baylor commit Javeon Wilcox
Texas Tech has extended an offer to Temple (Texas) Lake Belton three-star safety and Baylor commit Javeon Wilcox.
He is the No. 429 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. Wilcox is one of many top recruits from Central Texas.
“He’s one of the hardest hitters in the state and will likely ply his trade at boundary safety in the college game,” Eric Nahlin of Inside Texas said.
He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $6k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
The Bears have seven commits and rank 16th in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking with Wilcox, Cypress (Texas) Cy Ranch four-star linebacker Christian Brathwaite and Dripping Springs (Texas) three-star quarterback Austin Novosad.
