Winter Garden (Fla.) West Orange three-star wide receiver Jordyn Bridgewater has announced his commitment to the UCF Knights. Bridgewater announced the news on social media Friday afternoon.

“First, I want to thank God for taking me through this process and allowing me to be here today,” Bridgewater wrote in his announcement. “I would also like to thank all the coaches . . . for showing interest in me throughout my recruitment. Thank you, West Orange High School, and all my football coaches for your continuing guidance and mentorship over these past 4 years. We will always have ‘Valhalla.’ To my parents, sister, family and friends, thank you for your unwavering support in seeing me achieve my goals and dreams.

“With that being said, I will be continuing my next 4 years of academics and football with The University of Central Florida.”

Bridgewater is the nation’s No. 1418 overall prospect and No. 189 wide receiver in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 191 player in Florida.

Bridgewater does not currently have a publicly listed On3 NIL Valuation. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Bridgewater joins talented UCF class

Gus Malzahn’s 2024 class at UCF has taken the move to the Big 12 in stride, currently ranking No. 26 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 2 in the conference. Rockledge (Fla.) four-star safety Jaylen Heyward headlines the class along with seven additional blue-chip recruits.

Other blue-chips include Conroe (Texas) Oak Ridge four-star running back Frankie Arthur, Loganville (Ga.) Grayson four-star tight end Kylan Fox, Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas four-star running back Stacy Gage, Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes four-star safety Jakob Gude, Tampa (Fla.) Carrollwood Day four-star receiver Bredell Richardson, Loganville (Ga.) Grayson offensive lineman Waltclaire Flynn Jr. and Melbourne (Fla.) Central Catholic four-star receiver DayDay Farmer.

In addition to Richardson, Farmer and Bridgewater — Riverview (Fla.) Armwood three-star Kason Stokes completes the receiver corps thus far for UCF.

Eleven of the Knights’ 18 commits come from the state of Florida, and the class currently has a score of 88.44 — up nearly a point from last year’s cycle.
