Four-star tight end Kylan Fox of Loganville (GA) Grayson High announced his commitment to UCF Tuesday afternoon.

The 6-foot-4, 220 pounder chose the Knights over Florida State, Georgia Tech, and Colorado.

Fox on why he chose UCF

“The time in March I stepped foot on campus, I felt at home immediately. Coach Blackmon recruited me extra hard and stayed in constant contact with me. And Coach Malzahn knows what it looks to win and I want to be around people that want to win the same as I do. I felt like a priority from the jump and that’s really what made them stand out. Big things are happening in Orlando and I want to be a part of it and I want elite guys to come be a part of it with me.”

Relationship with coaching staff + their plan for him

“I’m the closest with Director of Player Personnel Alex Mathis. We’re both from South Georgia and when he got to Orlando he never wanted to leave and that’s the vibes I got every time I went. Everybody in the building is legit a family and that’s why I’m tight with Coaches that’s not even my position coach like Coach Heard, Coach Hand, Coach Ingram. They plan to use me like a flexed out type TE similar to how they used CJ Uzomah at Auburn. Seeing how they used him caught my eye because I know I can do things similar to what he did.”

The Peach State tight end joins coach Gus Malzahn and the Knights’ top 45 class in the 2024 team rankings. He is accompanied by four-star running back Stacy Gage, four-star interior offensive lineman Waltclaire Flynn Jr., and others.

Fox ranks as the No. 223 player in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 14 tight end and the No. 30 player in the state of Georgia.

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $70K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
