Kissimmee (Fla.) Osceola four-star running back Taevion Swint has committed to the UCF Knights. He announced the news on Twitter.

Swint is the No. 86 overall prospect and No. 8 running back in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 180 player in Florida.

With his commitment, Swint is the first commitment in UCF’s 2025 class.

Swint released his list of top schools on March 9 and while the eight consisted of a mix of both in-state and out-of-state schools, he noted that it would shock him if an in-state school wasn’t where he committed.

“The in-state schools are coming hard after me,” Swint told On3 in early March. “The process is going very good for me right now and those in-state schools are showing love. All four in-state schools are high on my list.

“Location will be a factor for me. I want to stay home and go to college somewhere in my home state. I see myself at Florida, Florida State, Miami or UCF when I make my decision.”

Prior to his commitment, Swint had visited UCF more than any other school including a pair of visits this year in January and March.

“This UCF visit was special,” Swint said after the March visit. “My mother got to sit down and meet and talk with coach Gus and all the coaches on the staff. I had a great time talking and building a great relationship with running back coach Kam Martin. He was telling me how he loves my style of play and we just got to know more about each other, not just regarding football, but personally as well.

“Coach Alex Mathis and coach Kam took me and my family around the nice campus and showed us how huge the campus is. I had a great time at UCF. I will definitely be back this spring.”

Swint currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $46K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
