UCLA star forward Johnny Juzang exited the UCLAOregon game midway through the first half after getting fouled on a fast break. After he was fouled, he appeared to turn his ankle and slammed his hip into the padding at the base of the hoop. After a few minutes, he limped off the court with the Bruins’ trainer to the locker room. The 6-foot-6 small forward stayed in the locker room for the rest of the first half.

At halftime, ESPN’s Dave Pasch noted the injury was a sprained right ankle injury and that Juzang was questionable to return. Unfortunately for Bruins’ fans, he did not return to the game for the rest of the contest. Juzang returned to the Bruins’ bench in the second half but was only wearing his warmup suit and did not play at all.

It should be noted that Juzang suffered a hip injury in an electric scooter accident last week. Jules Bernard started the second half in Juzang’s place. Expect him to get more minutes in the future, if the star forward has to miss more time.

Juzang is one of the best players in the country and there’s no question UCLA will need him to make a deep run in March. ESPN’s Bracketologist, Joe Lunardi, currently projects the Bruins as a No. 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Oregon led the game 35-30 at the end of the first half.

Without their star forward on the floor, UCLA lost to Oregon tonight, 68-63. Tyger Campbell led the Bruins with 12 points in the game. Jaylen Clark continues to impress for the Bruins. He dumped in five points and five rebounds tonight. De’Vion Harmon hit some huge shots down the stretch in lifting the Ducks to the upset win. He stuffed the stat sheet with 17 points, six rebounds, and one assist.
