Tyger Campbell and the UCLA Bruins are officially champions of the Pac-12, but they recognize there’s still some work to do before the NCAA Tournament.

With big dreams on his mind, the Bruins star shared what he believes UCLA needs to improve on before we get to March Madness.

“Just being more sharp,” Campbell started. “When I say that, I mean cutting hard, making the right pass, waiting for the right play to develop. So I’d say just taking our time while on offense, and getting a great shot.”

Alas, the UCLA defense has been superb this season, but their offense leaves a little to be desired. Evidently, Campbell and company recognize what they need to do to improve down the stretch.

Moreover, the Bruins captured the Pac-12 regular season crown by beating Colorado but it wasn’t without a little help, as Arizona lost to Arizona State. Afterwards, Campbell kept his eyes on the bigger prize, believing the Bruins have a lot more work to do in 2023.

“It feels great,” responded Campbell, asked how it feels to capture the Pac-12 title. “But we’ve got a lot more to do this season.”

Nevertheless, Campbell can bask in the glory of a title for a little while, at least before March Madness kicks up.

His 12.5 points per game, coupled with his 4.7 rebounds per game helped bring the trophy home to Los Angeles. The Bruins will now turn their attention to the Pac-12 Tournament, where they’ll be the top seed.

March is going to be a hectic month for Tyger Campbell and the Bruins, but UCLA is built for it. They have the right mindset, and Campbell’s squad will hope to improve in all the right areas moving forward.

It all continues on Thursday, as the Bruins will take on the Arizona State Sun Devils in another Pac-12 showdown.
