UCLA forward Johnny Juzang announced via social media on Wednesday that he will enter the 2022 NBA Draft. While he did not specify whether he will retain his college eligibility, he mentioned that he will “represent UCLA and the city of Los Angeles professionally” and said “goodbye” to fans in a statement.

After reclassifying to spend one season at Kentucky, Johnny Juzang spent the past two seasons at UCLA under head coach Mick Cronin before entering the NBA Draft. In three years, he averaged 11.6 points and 3.6 rebounds while shooting 35.2 percent from the 3-point line.

The former four-star recruit ranked No. 37 overall in the 2019 On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average. He also ranked as the No. 3 player in his home state after starring at Harvard Westlake High School.

Johnny Juzang pens letter to UCLA fans

In addition to his announcement that he will enter the 2022 NBA Draft, Johnny Juzang sent a message to UCLA fans and those who have helped him along the way in his journey to the next level.

“What a ride it’s been. My couple years at UCLA were a couple years I’ll never forget. Last year’s run to the Final Four, and this year’s electric season and atmosphere in Pauley Pavilion, were so much fun to be a part of.

“Growing up in Los Angeles to then doing Los Angeles proud is more than a kid could ask for. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for so much love and support. I’ll forever be a Bruin and we’ll all remember the great moments we had. I’m going to continue to represent UCLA and the city of Los Angeles professionally now, as I am entering the 2022 NBA Draft.

“Thank you to the coaching staff, the trainers, the staff, my teammates, and my friends and family for making the experience so beautiful.

“Goodbye from Juzang.”
